Writers are not the only ones struggling under the current industry model. That is why the WGA and their pursuits for equitable compensation are supported by every major Hollywood union as well as political and community leaders across the country. The WGA is asking only for fairness. If studio executives and A-listers can rake in obscene compensation packages during a 'challenging' fiscal year, then writer's can surely ask for living wages. After all, the stories that we know and love, the entities that make so few so much, originated from the imaginations of our writers.
The studios have shown that they are determined to undermine the working conditions of our writers. We must now exert the maximum leverage possible to get a fair contract by withholding our labor. #WGAStrong #WGAStrike
